MABA Becomes UKABC

Two years after launching the MABA, we are re-launching ourselves as UKABC, and at the same time strengthening its senior team with the addition of a new president and vice president. This strategic decision is seen as a natural progression for the "Middlesex Asian Business Association" as it further develops its expanding roster of activities in the marketplace both UK and Asia.

This includes our hugely successful Networking Events, launching our active presence and offices in India, China, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, the new UK ABC Awards, webinars, round tables debates, plus magazine and newsletter publishing both in print and online.

The re-launch as MABA coincides with the development of a fresh identity, a new website www.ukabc.co.uk which goes live today (January 9), and the renaming of MABA UK Org (mabauk.org) as UK ABC, with the first issue of the new magazine being published next month in time for the proposed launch party on 25th of Feb 2015 At the same time international business expert Junaid Ahmed will be joining UKABC as President and Sudeep Sakalle will be joining UKABC as Vice President, they will work alongside Chairman Taha Kutay who founded the MABA under the NABA banner back in the summer of 2013.

“In terms of our new corporate identity we felt strongly that the name UKABC really does what it says on the tin and is a much more accurate descriptor in terms of our activities now and moving forward” “This is a fantastic opportunity for UKABC as the marketplace moves ever closer to our founding mantra around the need for organisations in UK and Asia to engage more and grow business, cultural relationship both internal and external and across all channels.

We remain firm believers in the critical business link between UK and Asia will grow over 200% in next few years” For more details of UKABC contact press@ukabc.org The wider significance of MABA Becomes UKABC lies in the relationships behind the activity.

Two years after launching the MABA, we are re-launching ourselves as UKABC, and at the same time strengthening its senior team with the addition of a new president and vice president. This strategic decision is seen as a natural… UKABC’s work is designed to connect people who can contribute knowledge, access, experience or practical support.

The Council’s role is therefore best understood through the quality of the conversations created and the follow-up those conversations make possible. For businesses and institutions, events in the Recognition programme provide a structured setting in which to understand priorities before making commitments. Participants can hear different perspectives, test assumptions and identify where a credible introduction may be useful.

This approach is especially important in international work, where local context, trust and clarity often determine whether an initial discussion develops into a sustainable relationship. The programme also contributes to UKABC’s public record. Documenting the people involved, the subjects discussed and the intended outcomes helps future partners understand the Council’s experience.

It gives search engines and readers a clearer account of the organisation’s work while preserving the history of relationships that may continue across several years or projects.
