UKABC successfully hosts a roundtable event with Malta High Commission, paving the way for UK companies to explore investment opportunities in Malta’s finance, manufacturing, crypto, film and more.

London, United Kingdom – On 2nd March 2023, the UK Asian Business Council (UKABC) in association with the Malta High Commission successfully hosted an exclusive and invitation-only round table discussion at the High Commission of Malta in London. The event was aimed at providing valuable insights into the investment opportunities in Malta, funding and grants, and tax benefits for foreign companies. Peter Meli invited UKABC to take a delegation to Malta to explore these opportunities in more detail.

During the discussion, the representatives from Malta High Commission and Malta Enterprise shared valuable insights on the growth story of Malta and how UK companies can benefit from the opportunities available in finance, manufacturing, crypto, film, and more. Malta Enterprise, the government agency responsible for promoting economic growth and competitiveness in Malta, explained the funding and grant opportunities available to support businesses of all sizes. Additionally, the attendees learned about Malta’s favourable tax regime for foreign companies which has made it an attractive destination for UK businesses seeking to establish a presence in the EU after Brexit.

The event was a great success, and attendees appreciated the opportunity to discuss their questions and challenges directly with the relevant person from the Malta embassy representative Peter Meli and his team. The event concluded with a networking session where attendees had a chance to interact and build meaningful relationships.

Furthermore, UKABC announced that it will be organising a delegation to Malta in the third week of April with a focus on Pharma manufacturing, Film Production, Tax Residency, and iGaming sectors. The delegation will provide an opportunity for companies interested in doing business in Malta to explore the country’s investment opportunities in more detail.
