Building Resilient Futures: TGRF’s Founding Reception at the House of Lords

The Global Resilience Foundation (TGRF) will hold its Founding Reception at the House of Lords on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, bringing together invited guests from business, public life, philanthropy and community development. The gathering offers an opportunity to connect with the Foundation’s vision and help shape the partnerships that will carry its work forward.

With a UK base and an initial focus on Africa, TGRF’s priorities include clean water, sanitation and hygiene; women’s empowerment and menstrual dignity; community health and awareness; capacity building; and sustainable livelihoods. At the heart of its approach is a belief that lasting change comes from giving communities the knowledge, resources and opportunities to build greater independence.

Working alongside local organisations and partners, the Foundation aims to connect essential services with practical pathways to self-reliance. TGRF’s work includes WASH pilot initiatives in South Africa through its partnership with Sulabh International and established local organisations. Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana and Rwanda are identified as priorities for future expansion.

The Founding Reception will create space for conversations about how expertise, relationships, philanthropic support and practical collaboration can strengthen this work. For those attending, it is an opportunity to contribute to a shared purpose and develop relationships around meaningful community impact. UKABC’s board is supporting the occasion.

Baroness Arlene Foster of Aghadrumsee DBE, Andrew Grocock, Chairman of the UK Asian Business Council, and Taha Coburn-Kutay, UKABC President, serve as trustees of TGRF.
